You can't properly tell from the photos but the text is printed onto tracing paper, with a piece of plain card tied to it underneath...I really like them :)Lucyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08750376299218627319noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-110182288030764192.post-39460303806547102922011-05-18T23:11:34.473+01:002011-05-18T23:11:34.473+01:00Your invites look so pretty! Some of the RSVPs requests we've had back so far have included Adele - Rolling in the Deep (from a teenager), Black Eyed Peas - Tonight's Gonna Be A Good Night (from one of Mum's friends), Lady GaGa - Born This Way (my Uncle) and Procol Harem - Whiter Shade of Pale (Mum's partner), so mainly modern...ish! The DJ will obviously play his own choices as well as our requests, but I think it's a fun way to get people involved :) agree slow songs not so good for crowd pleasers though. Still need to decide on song for our first dance as well...think we'll have difficulty agreeing on that one!! & will definitely add some cheesy songs to the list as well, thanks, used to love dancing to all the ones you mentioned when I was at uni!! :)Lucyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08750376299218627319noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-110182288030764192.post-12286599365207217532011-05-18T20:08:44.149+01:002011-05-18T20:08:44.149+01:00I would say with the music it depends on the age o...I would say with the music it depends on the age of the people. Some good old cheesy songs always go down well (eg summer of 69, build me up buttercup, Dont stop me now, Grease songs! etc)-will the people like modern stuff like black eyed peas and stuff? You need some modern stuff I suppose, but just stuff that people know I would say. Slow songs are not easy to dance so and they tend to empty dance floors (at the weddings I have been to anyway) unless they are right at the end of the night.Mariahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07364823282004341052noreply@blogger.com
